Hello dear Outskirts residents,
I tried to create an Armageddon Mode for Stockfish, and it kinda backfired. I mean, in Armageddon Mode Stockfish must try only to win and avoid drawing lines. I tried to set VALUE_DRAW -9999 and -(VALUE_KNOWN_WIN)/2 and both of them seemed okay as it thought it lost in a drawn endgame for both sides. But somehow, in gameplay, the engine keeps taking 3folds thinking them as a win for the side who takes the 3fold. How do I fix this?

I think you should maybe modify also search.cpp file. Try to look at Winter, he has implementation of Armageddon

does anyone know any stockfish clones that have armageddon mode?? _ase4
In addition to the Winter engine, is there any other that has this function?
The times I used it in Komodo, I realized that there was a problem.
I had to put the specific setting of what color the engine was playing which was really bad for server games. thankyou
