Chess Engine Compiler Script for Android

In Termux other tools such as clang (version 16.0) cannot be updated and upgraded (pkg update && pkg upgrade). Tried if (pkg install clang) succeeded (clang-17.0), but (clang-16.0) is still in .../usr/bin/.
How to fully remove the clang version 16.0?

By the way, you do not need to enter anything other than pkg upgrade. Which clang version is displayed (clang -v)?

In general, if something got mixed up under Termux, for whatever reason, I wouldn't fiddle around for long and reinstall Termux and let the script cecsa.sh do the rest of the installation. Follow the description at

up to the 4th point and you have everything you need. And above all a fresh and clean installation.
