Games 4448 and 4452 exactly the same end position different result 1-0 and 0-1. Black's 50..Kg4 was a blunder that immediately lost what was a drawn game.

I am using the Chessbase 2007 Light software that despite its age still works in Windows 10 with criteria,
Datebase option "Find double games"
Number of moves 40
Clip Doubles
Ignore result
Ignore year
Names - Ignore
Tournaments - Ignore
Moves - Exact
Decision - Keep the better game.
Unclear how the software determines the latter but I snapshot the doubled games and then have a closer look at them in the database.

I am guessing the game integrity test and find doubles functions are retained in later Chessbase versions. The former is very useful for finding Chess 960, Fischer Random Chess games too.

It has also identified a number of 25 move GM draws with the same moves in the D85 opening and I removed around 10 of those. Depends how pure you want to keep the database.
